ISTC 2024

The International Space Technology Convention 2024 (ISTC 2024) marked the second edition of MARVECX Aerospace Limited’s growing international platform for advancing knowledge, collaboration and innovation across the global space and aerospace community. Held virtually from 21 to 23 November 2024, the three-day convention brought together researchers, engineers, innovators, academics, entrepreneurs, students, technology professionals and space enthusiasts from different countries to engage with emerging developments shaping the future of space exploration.

The 2024 edition was organised around the theme, “Harnessing Cutting-Edge Technology for Sustainable Innovation in Space Exploration.” The theme reflected the growing importance of combining technological advancement with responsible and sustainable approaches to the exploration and utilisation of space. Discussions explored how emerging technologies can strengthen space research, engineering, satellite applications, digital systems, innovation and new approaches to solving challenges within the evolving global space ecosystem.

ISTC 2024 featured an international group of speakers and professionals representing organisations and initiatives across the space, technology, research and innovation sectors. Through presentations, expert discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants gained exposure to different perspectives on the opportunities, challenges and technologies influencing the next phase of space development. The convention also provided a platform for professionals at different stages of their careers to exchange ideas, broaden their networks and establish connections beyond national and disciplinary boundaries.

A major focus of the second edition was the relationship between innovation and sustainability. Its second edition expanded the conversation around emerging technologies, sustainable innovation and international cooperation, while strengthening the platform’s role as a meeting point for people and organisations interested in contributing to the future of space exploration.
